Fulfills Step 2 of GSUSA Daisy Petal – Friendly and Helpful badge requirements.

Items Needed

• Paper or Poster Board
• Coloring Supplies

Instructions

1. Ask scouts to share ways they’ve been helpful or friendly to others. Remind them that helpful actions can be big or small, like holding a door open or giving a smile. Explain that they’ll work together to create a Daisy Friendship Checklist of important friendship rules.
2. Have one piece of paper or poster board.
3. Brainstorm rules by asking, “What are some rules you think are important to have in a friendship?” Have the group vote on the five most important rules.
4. The leader writes the rules on their poster or flyer. Scouts decorate it with drawings or designs. Have everyone “sign” their name on the poster to show their commitment to the rules.
5. If possible, hang the poster as a reminder in the meeting space.
