Items Needed
- Small elastic rubber bands (various colors)
- A loom or two fingers for weaving
- A clip or small plastic hook for closure
Instructions
- Choose rubber bands in different colors to create a pattern or design.
- Place the first rubber band on two fingers or a loom, twisting it into a figure-eight shape.
- Stack two more rubber bands on top without twisting them.
- Lift the bottom band over the top two and release it over the center.
- Add another rubber band on top and repeat the lifting step with the bottom band.
- Continue this weaving process until the bracelet reaches the desired length.
- Attach a plastic clip or hook to secure both ends together.
- Stretch the bracelet slightly to adjust the fit and wear or gift it to a friend.
Variations
- Rainbow Pattern – Alternate colors in a repeating rainbow pattern.
- Fishtail Weave – Use a slightly different technique for a tighter, more intricate design.
- Double Bands – Layer two rubber bands at a time for a thicker bracelet.
