Friendship Bracelet – Stretchy Elastic

Items Needed

  • Small elastic rubber bands (various colors)
  • A loom or two fingers for weaving
  • A clip or small plastic hook for closure

Instructions

  1. Choose rubber bands in different colors to create a pattern or design.
  2. Place the first rubber band on two fingers or a loom, twisting it into a figure-eight shape.
  3. Stack two more rubber bands on top without twisting them.
  4. Lift the bottom band over the top two and release it over the center.
  5. Add another rubber band on top and repeat the lifting step with the bottom band.
  6. Continue this weaving process until the bracelet reaches the desired length.
  7. Attach a plastic clip or hook to secure both ends together.
  8. Stretch the bracelet slightly to adjust the fit and wear or gift it to a friend.

Variations

  • Rainbow Pattern – Alternate colors in a repeating rainbow pattern.
  • Fishtail Weave – Use a slightly different technique for a tighter, more intricate design.
  • Double Bands – Layer two rubber bands at a time for a thicker bracelet.
