Items Needed
- Fabric scraps (cotton, ribbon, or old t-shirts cut into strips)
- Scissors
- Tape or clip to hold the bracelet in place
Instructions
- Cut fabric scraps into strips about 12 inches long.
- Gather three strips and tie a knot at one end, leaving some extra length.
- Tape or clip the knotted end to a table to keep it steady.
- Separate the fabric strips and braid them together like hair.
- Once the bracelet is long enough, tie another knot at the end.
- Trim any excess fabric to neaten the edges.
- Tie the bracelet around the wrist or gift it to a friend.
Variations
- Twisted Fabric Bracelet – Instead of braiding, twist two fabric strips together for a rope-like effect.
- Beaded Fabric Bracelet – Add beads onto the strips before tying knots for extra decoration.
- Sew It – Sew a fabric band from scraps to fit a jewelry crimp, creating a stylish bangle-style bracelet.
- Weave It – Use three thin wire or plastic bangles and weave fabric scraps around them to create a new wide bangle-style bracelet.
