Items Needed:
- Scout’s completed artwork
- (Option 1) Store-bought frame
- (Option 2) Craft materials for a homemade frame:
- Craft sticks, cardboard, or construction paper
- Glue, tape, scissors
- Decorating items (stickers, markers, washi tape, ribbon)
Option 1: Use a Store-Bought Frame (Estimated Time: 5 min)
- Open the frame and place the artwork inside (1–2 min)
- Make sure the artwork fits and is centered.
- Close and secure the back (1 min)
- Press down tabs or clips to hold the art in place.
- (Optional) Add a name label for the artist (1 min)
- Use a sticker or small card with the scout’s name.
- Display the framed art (1 min)
- Place it upright or flat on a gallery table or send it home.
Option 2: Build a Basic Homemade Frame (Estimated Time: 15–20 min)
- Choose frame materials (2–3 min)
- Craft sticks or cardboard work great for outlining the artwork.
- Arrange four sides around the artwork (3–4 min)
- Lay out the pieces to form a rectangle or square.
- Glue or tape the corners securely (3–4 min)
- Let dry if needed before decorating.
- Decorate the frame (4–5 min)
- Use stickers, drawings, or other craft items to personalize.
- Attach the artwork to the back of the frame (2–3 min)
- Use glue or masking tape to hold the art in place.
