Activity Description: Scouts create quick sketches and combine them into comic strips using color-coded prompts.

Info Needed: Explore how comics are created and understood by looking closely at characters, emotions, and storytelling techniques used in comic strips.
Items Needed:
- Pens or pencils
- Printout of Comic Cards, pre-cut and mixed up, but kept to the same color families
OR Sticky notes
Instructions (Estimated Total Time: 25 min):
- Give each scout a pen or pencil and either a set of Comic Cards or about 21 sticky notes. (5 min)
- Draw quick sketches based on the Comic Cards or called-out image prompts. (10 min)
- Spend no more than one minute per sketch
- Start with all “Red” images
- Then draw all “Yellow” images
- Finish with all “Green” images
- (Optional) Use sticky notes if Comic Cards are not available
- Review all sketches and combine one red, one yellow, and one green into a three-panel comic strip. (5 min)
- Scouts may follow the original order or rearrange based on their imagination
- Share completed comic strips with the group. (5 min)
- (Optional) Invite scouts to explain their creative choices or favorite panels
