Info Needed for Badge Requirements:
Scouts create and follow a personal practice routine for one month that includes endurance, strength, and skill drills. Each part should be completed at least twice a week, in any order or combination that works best. After one month, scouts choose one way to reflect and share their progress.
Items Needed:
- Guest coach or instructor
- Paper (one sheet per scout)
- Pens or pencils
- Comfortable clothes for movement
- Open space (optional for movement demonstrations)
Instructions (Total Estimated Time: 30–35 minutes):
- Personal Reflection & Quick Prep (4–5 minutes)
- Scouts write down:
- One part of their routine that worked well
- One part that was challenging
- One question they’d like to ask the coach
- Optional: one movement they’d like to briefly demonstrate
- Scouts write down:
- Group Discussion with Coach (18–25 minutes)
- Scouts gather together and take turns sharing one highlight or question, and their optional move demo. Each scout only has one minute to present.
- The coach gives brief feedback or suggestions for each scout.
- Scouts listen to each other and may write down helpful advice.
- Wrap-Up Reflection (2–3 minutes)
- Scouts write down one useful tip they received from the coach.
- (Optional) set a mini goal to continue their next practice week or month
