Instructions
- Ask scouts how they help out at home and explain that helpful actions can be big or small, like taking out the garbage or helping with a pet. Share that families are teams, and everyone has a part to play. Explain they’ll create chore coupons to help with new chores at home.
- Cut three rectangular strips of paper, use index cards, or cut and use the Chore Coupons template.
- Have scouts choose three chores they don’t usually do at home. Ask scouts to draw a picture of each chore on a coupon and decorate them.
- If time allows, let scouts share their coupons with the group and encourage them to give the coupons to their family members.
- Remind them to explain how family members can use the coupons when they need help around the house.
