Items Needed:
- Leftover paper, cut into small rectangles
- Pens, pencils, or markers
- Small tables or areas for scouts to work in groups
Instructions:
- Split the scouts into small groups to make it easier for everyone to share their ideas.
- Give each scout some pieces of paper to write their ideas on. Each idea only needs to be written down once by any group member.
- Encourage the scouts to share their ideas as they write, or wait until everyone has written their ideas down before discussing. They can also decide to have one scout write the ideas as the others share. Allow the groups to brainstorm freely and work together, keeping all the scouts engaged while letting them take the lead in the activity.
- Once the groups finish brainstorming, gather all their ideas and discuss them as a troop. Combine the pieces of paper into small piles of similar ideas. Which ones did more groups think of doing?
