Bird Feeders – Oriole Wire Feeder

Items Needed

  • Coat hanger (cardboard tube removed)
  • Pliers or strong hands
  • Wire cutters
  • Oranges
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Ribbon and berries (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bend the hanger into a shape with two wires spaced about 1 inch apart. Use pliers and wire cutters to smooth and trim as needed.
  2. Slice oranges into 1/4-inch pieces. Cut small triangles of rind for spacers.
  3. Thread orange slices and rind pieces alternately onto the wires.
  4. Add a ribbon and berries for decoration if desired.
  5. Hang from a sturdy branch and watch orioles enjoy!
