Items Needed
- Wooden frame (new or repurposed)
- Acrylic paints and brushes
- Plastic canvas sheet
- Strong glue (e.g., Tacky Glue)
- String, yarn, or twine for hanging
- Birdseed
- Optional: Tacks, outdoor sealant
Instructions
- Paint the wooden frame with acrylic paints and let it dry completely. Optional: Apply outdoor sealant to protect the paint.
- Cut the plastic canvas slightly smaller than the frame and glue it to the bottom using strong glue. Let it dry fully. Optional: Use tacks to better secure the canvas.
- Thread string through one corner of the feeder and tie securely. Repeat for the other three corners. Leave 12–14 inches of string for hanging.
- Gather the strings above the center of the frame and tie them into one secure knot.
- Fill the feeder with birdseed.
