Items Needed
- 2 pairs of unused sewing hoops
- 4 waste food containers
- 4 wooden sticks, dried tree branches, or waste PVC pipes
- Rope (any strong type for hanging)
- Wool or jute rope
- Strong glue (e.g., wood glue)
- Scissors or knife (to trim containers if needed)
- Birdseed
- (Optional) Decorative ribbon
Instructions
- Tighten the screws on the sewing hoops. Assemble the hoops individually.
- Apply glue to the bottom of each hoop and stack them to create a tall tower. For added stability, tie wool or jute rope around the glued joints of the hoops. Repeat this process for all hoops to complete the tower structure.
- Apply glue to both ends of the wooden sticks (or branches/PVC pipes) and attach them horizontally inside the hoops to create skinny platforms.
- Glue the food containers in the center of the hoops. If needed, trim smaller containers to fit inside the smaller hoops.
- Let the entire structure dry for at least six hours to ensure everything is secure.
- (Optional) Attach ribbon to cover joints for a decorative touch.
- Thread rope through the top of the structure to create a hanger. Tie double knots at both the hoops and the hanging location for stability.
- Fill the food containers with birdseed and hang your feeder outdoors.
