*Inspired by an activity choice in the GSUSA 1980s program for Across Generations
Sometimes, making a friend means meeting someone whose life has been very different from yours and discovering how much you can learn and share together. Older adults in nursing homes or senior centers have amazing stories, favorite memories, and songs from long ago. You’ll visit one of these friends at least twice and spend time getting to know them.
At each visit, you’ll share something from your life, like pictures of your family, pets, or favorite places. You’ll also learn about their past, and maybe even trade songs from different generations!
