Conditional statements are If/Then statements. If it is raining, then I will use an umbrella. An extended Conditional statement is an If/Then/Else. If it is raining, then I will use an umbrella, else I will leave my umbrella home.

In the Daisy, Brownie, and Junior level – the basic If/Then is all that is needed.

In an app, a conditional statement might be:

• If I press this button, then this will happen.
• If the weather is cold, then this will happen.
• If the time is 1:00 p.m., then this will happen.

In Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador levels, an extended statement should be given.

• If I press this button, then this will happen, else it remains the same.
• If the weather is cold, then this will happen, else this other thing happens.
• If the time is 1:00 p.m., then this will happen, else it remains the same.
