Affiliations

The Badge Archive is an independent company designed to support scout leaders. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a licensee of American Heritage Girls,
Girl Scouts of the USA, Girlguiding UK, Scouting America, or Trail Life USA. The names, marks, and all associated trademarks of these organizations are owned by their respective entities. Links provided to official resources from any scouting organization are for user convenience only. The Badge Archive does not receive compensation from these organizations.

All original illustrations, summaries, and products featured on this site are the exclusive property of The Badge Archive. These works are original artistic interpretations and are not authorized, licensed, or endorsed by any scouting organization.

We have a Teachers Pay Teachers website for any fully Printable Meeting Plans available for purchase. We launched our RedBubble store to provide great gift ideas for cookie managers and leaders. Explore Badge Archive Creations page for more details.

We have a Donate PayPal button in the footer of the website that goes to Tia Kennard, the founder of The Badge Archive. ANY donation amount is helpful and goes 100% to the costs of keeping The Badge Archive as a free resource for all.

Our March 2027 goal is to earn or receive enough donations for the $354.

Other Affiliations?

As of March 2026 – The Badge Archive has no affiliations with any group, organization, or business. We used to be associated with Hobnobbing Crafts, which was the business of the creators of this website before we permanently closed the doors in 2024. There may still be some mentions of it as it was an active part of our lives when we created The Badge Archive in 2020.

We do not earn money, a stipend, percentage, or even a discount from any of the links we currently have on our site unless it links to one of our Badge Archive Creations sites.

We started a Kofi and Patreon account in 2020 as a way to practice how to do so before teaching our GSUSA Seniors in their Website Designer badge and never expected anyone to actually help the costs of maintaining this website. They’re still there but we do not actively use them currently. If anyone did subscribe, those funds would also be used directly to keep The Badge Archive as a free resource for all.

The Badge Archive was created to make a place where leaders and scouts can go for one website to find multiple options available to earn badges in multiple organizations. And we love retired GSUSA badges and felt there should be a place to find information about them. We have a large amount of GSUSA material versus other scouting organizations as that is what started this whole project.

At this time, we do not make any money whatsoever from doing this service of archiving information.

Scouting America

Per page 52 of the 2025 Guide to Advancement, all materials and external links provided by The Badge Archive for Scouting America programs (including Cub Scout plans and Merit Badge summaries) are classified as ‘Unofficial Worksheets and Learning Aids.’

While we strive to provide supplemental resources for Den Leaders and Merit Badge Counselors, please note that as of March 2027, external resource links beyond official Scouting America channels are limited. Official Scouting America resources remain the primary authority for all program requirements.

Links to other Websites

The Badge Archive and our sister site, the Youth Activities Archive, provide links to third-party websites (“External Sites”) as a convenience to our users.

A link to an External Site does not constitute an endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation by The Badge Archive. The content, products, and services found on External Sites are developed and maintained by independent third parties. The Badge Archive does not exercise editorial control over these sites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.

Users who choose to access External Sites do so entirely at their own risk. We recommend contacting the site administrator or webmaster of any External Site directly if you have concerns regarding their content or technical integrity. Take precautions when downloading files from all websites to stay protected from viruses and other destructive programs.

The Badge Archive makes no representations regarding the safety of files or downloads available on External Sites. We strongly advise users to take necessary precautions, such as using updated antivirus software, to protect their devices from destructive programs or malware when navigating away from our domain.
