“A Scout was Here” Flower

Fulfills Step 1 of GSUSA Daisy Petal – Considerate and Caring badge requirements.

Items Needed:

  • Cupcake liners (colorful or plain)
  • Scissors
  • Glue or glue sticks
  • Paper circles with “A Scout was Here” notes printed on them (Or make them at the meeting)
  • Markers or crayons (optional, for decoration)

Instructions:

  1. Give each scout a cupcake liner. Have them cut small lines from the edge toward the center, stopping about halfway, to create petals.
  2. Glue a paper circle with “A Scout was Here” into the center of each cupcake liner flower.
  3. Scouts can use markers or crayons to add their own designs or messages to the flower petals.
  4. Encourage scouts to leave the flowers in places where they’ve shown kindness or been helpful—at home, school, or around the neighborhood.
