Updated March 11th: Since our last update in January, we have continued the process of reorganizing The Badge Archive to make it a more effective tool for leaders and scouts. You may still notice changes in templates and layouts as we test which WordPress features best support our growing library of resources.

As a reminder, you will continue to see pages titled “Relocated.” These are placeholder links ensuring that old bookmarks do not result in a “404 Page Not Found” error. Each one will direct you to the new location of that content, whether it has moved to a new post format here or to our companion site, the Youth Activity Archive.
Current Projects & Focus Areas
Moving content from static pages to searchable posts is a long-term project. Beyond the technical backend, we are currently working on several specific content archives:
- Global & WAGGGS Resources: We are finalizing a series of Country Information Packets. These utilize 2026 global data to provide accurate information for international-themed meetings and WAGGGS-specific organizational history.
- The Petal Project & Multi-Level Planning: We are archiving Daisy Petal activities and identifying matching Brownie badges to create “Combo” meeting plans. This work is feeding into a new multi-level matrix designed to link up to 20 different badges for dual, trio, and foursome multi-level troops. That muti-level will be a long term project as we need to finish archiving current levels first.
- Cookie Archive Expansion: While the Daisy and Brownie levels are complete, we are still finishing the Junior level archives and plan to do C/S/A levels as well. We are also developing supplemental resources, including inventory/money management spreadsheets and matching booth trackers for next year’s season.
- Cub Scout & Scouting America Updates: We have begun creating dedicated posts for Cub Scout Adventures and Merit Badges. These will follow our standardized format, including archived activities and structured meeting plans.
Why We Are Moving Content
The shift from “Pages” to “Posts” allows us to use automatic category lists and better search filters. Soon, you will be able to search by theme (such as “Animals” or “STEM”) and see every relevant badge, fun patch, and activity across different programs in one unified list. We hope to include Fun Patch Programs that can be used by any organization as well.
A Long-Term Commitment
This remains a massive undertaking. Moving years of GSUSA and Scouting America data (followed by our Fun Patch programs) is expected to take significant time. We appreciate your patience as we navigate layout changes, template testing, and the gradual improvement of our navigation tools.
Thank you for your continued support as we build a more organized and accessible archive.
