Scout K had an amazing idea this year. An Escape Room to earn the World Thinking Day badge for Daisy, Brownie, and Junior levels.
This is now available on Teachers Pay Teachers for just $10.

To set it up, all you need are two walls, a couple of tables, and a few additional items like a book and a manilla envelope or a decorated mailbox box.
Unleash an adventure with our printable Escape Room, designed specifically for Daisy, Brownie, or Junior troops! Centered around Girlguiding UK and meeting all the 2025 requirements, this engaging activity comes with 59 pages of interactive fun. It includes 7 puzzles and codes to crack, an eye-catching wall timeline, a comparison of uniforms and badges, and an exclusive interview with a Girlguiding Leader.
Perfect for enriching the troop’s learning experience. The final challenge has scouts write a letter to a UK troop and share what they’ve learned. When submitted to The Badge Archive, it will be sent to a UK Girlguiding pack! This printable Escape Room is an ideal, hassle-free way to keep the troop entertained and educated. Get ready to print, cut, and escape!
C/S/A Troops
C/S/A Troops can use the Escape Room to help a Daisy, Brownie, or Junior troop earn their World Thinking Day badge, and it fulfills all but one final requirement on the C/S/A level. Check out the options for that final requirement on the C/S/A WTD Outline.

How it Came to Be
Scout K came up with different puzzles to help younger scouts learn about World Thinking Day history and our sister scouts in Girlguiding UK. We interviewed a Girlguiding UK Leader to verify the research done and helped her create all the puzzles she thought up. It took all of the 90 minute meeting time for a group of 6 Brownies to run through the room. We then made all the puzzles fully printable for any troop to be able to use and tested it out one more time. This project took just as much time as a Silver Project, but was a lot of fun!
Need a Free Plan?
We understand! The Badge Archive has used all the research done during Scout K’s adventure into Girlguiding and created information available for free for any troop. Check out the D/B/J Outline for a possible free meeting plan you can do!
Want to Only Participate in the Letters to the UK?
We’re happy to have you. Scout K launched her 50 State Letters program earlier this month – all for free. Any troop in the U.S.A. is welcome to join. As soon as we have all 50 states, we’ll be sending a book with State facts and letters from across the nation to the UK.
Side Note
Scout K is working on earning her Business Startup badge with this project, which is why we chose to try Teachers Pay Teachers for this project.
The Badge Archive remains dedicated to providing free resources to leaders, and our Girlguiding UK section and WTD Outlines are there for those that need them. For those that are supporting our efforts for a little more special event using the Escape Room – thank you!
