Social Media

Up until now, we’ve stuck to just our website and a Facebook Group. Last week, we finally took the plunge and tried Instagram and Pinterest.

Instagram is where we’re posting our Badge Plans. As we reformat and complete a badge with a Basic Plan, we share it on Instagram. Our normal Facebook Posts with graphics will also now be posted on Instagram. You can check it out here. https://www.instagram.com/thebadgearchive/

Pinterest is where we’re posting Activities. Visuals help some people choose activities, but our activity lists are too busy for graphics. Instead, we’re adding graphics to individual activity pages. Ms. Tia now creates her own graphics using Canva, so Mr. John doesn’t have to find time for graphic creation. We’re organizing these on Pinterest by topic-themed boards to help people. You can explore them here.

Our Activity Lists for badges are the most popular, according to our WordPress statistics. Some badges have extensive lists, while others have none. As we reformat, we’re ensuring each badge has at least as many activities as the booklets and VTK have listed. If the App Development badges can have an Activity List, most other badges should be fine. Ones like Horseback Riding are an exception. The only activity option is finding a place that teaches horseback riding.
