How are your characters treating you?
Sometimes your characters get away from you. It’s okay to let them if you want. Characters take on a life of their own and can be a lot of fun.
Sometimes you need a character to stay in the limits you set them. When they start going off track, take a look at what their motivations and reasons are. Adjust them to make sure they take the actions you need them to take.
Did you have a difficult character?
Finish!
Page 13 is ready. Go on to Day 23.
Want an Example?
Clara was assigned to us by the character generator, and we had a hard time figuring out why in the world would she be the main character. We realized that her bubbly personality and easy going attitude is because of her family. The family she had changed into something more important to the territory so they would be in grave danger. Same character and same motivations, but now the family background changed which caused her to have a great deal of motivation in trying to stop the war that could destroy everything she held dear. Clara could now willing go out of her comfort zone and drag her friend Ava along with her.
