Most items can be found at a dollar store
Set up three stations the scouts relay through. Each scout has to go through a station before the next scout can begin.
Station 1: Dogs
Items needed: Tootsie Rolls and Dog Poop bags
Set up: Scatter tootsie rolls in the grass as fake dog poop.
Scouts must practice using poop bags to pick up the tootsie rolls. Leader decides if there is a certain number needed to be picked up, or if it’s just one tootsie roll per scout.
Station 2: Cats
Items needed: Small “litter box”, cat litter, Tootsie Rolls
Set up: Place cat litter in “litter box”. Scatter tootsie rolls and some water (to make clumps like as if a cat had peed) in the “litter box”.
Scouts practice scooping out the “poop” and “pee” so the “litter box” is clean and ready for next use.
Station 3: Fish
Items needed: whipped cream, a fish tank/bowl, an algae scrubber, and a bowl of water. You’ll likely want some towels to clean up splashes as well.
Set up: Smear a small amount of whipped cream on the side of the tank/bowl. It takes very little, you want it to be like it had a film of algae covering the side.
Scouts practice cleaning the tank/bowl by scrubbing the side clean. It’s empty of water, so they’ll need to rinse the algae scrubber off in the bowl of water a few times before they can finish “cleaning” the tank/bowl.
