Scouting America released a new streamlined Cub Scout program to earn adventures in 2024. Lion is the Kindergarten level of the Cub Scout program.

Required Adventures

• Character/Leadership – Bobcat Lion: Build den friendships, practice the Scout Law, reflect on doing their best, and learn essential personal safety skills.
• Outdoors – Mountain Lion
• Personal Fitness – Fun on the Run
• Citizenship – King of the Jungle
• Personal Safety – Lion’s Roar
• Family/Reverence – Lion’s Pride

Multi-Rank Elective Adventures – Lion Version

• 3 Summertime Activities – None for Lion
• Camping – Let’s Camp Lion
• Champions for Nature – Champions for Nature Lion
• Cycling – On a Roll
• Fishing – Go Fish
• Knife Skills – None for Lion
• Paddling – None for Lion
• Race Time (Pinewood Derby or Rain Gutter Regatta) – Race Time Lion
• Swimming – Time to Swim

Lion Specific Elective Adventures

• Count On Me
• Everyday Tech
• Gizmos and Gadgets
• I’ll Do It Myself

Restricted Elective Adventures – Lion Version
