Discuss, Role Play, or Draw solutions to various animal scenarios. Use the following or think of your own and ask the scouts “What do you do?”:
- Scouts take a walk and come across a baby bird on the ground, no mother in sight and an empty nest above them.
- A friend is sick and needs their dog walked, but the scout has other plans scheduled.
- The local animal shelter has too many cats and they need new homes for them, but the scout isn’t allowed to adopt a pet right now.
- Scout is going to get a new pet and the family asks if they should buy a new pet or adopt a pet from the shelter.
- A stray dog is wondering in the scout’s neighborhood. It has no owner nearby but it does look like a collar is on their neck.
- While grocery shopping, the scout sees a dog wearing a service dog vest. It is extremely cute and the scout would love to say hello and pet the dog.
