Give an Example
If the problem is a dog being afraid to walk on slippery floors like wood or tile… Solutions could be “making a floor with texture, little boots for the dog, rugs for the dog to walk on, special grippers for toenails, etc.” There might be problems with some solutions, like “maybe the floor needs more or less texture, maybe the rugs slip or the dog doesn’t like them, or maybe the booties slip off.”
Pick an Object
Scouts pick one object they use all the time and draw it. (i.e. backpack, notebook, or toy)
Improve it
Scouts look at their object and think of one way it could be even better or more useful or even just look cooler. They can re-draw or change their original drawing – but they need to label what they changed.
Share it
Scouts get to show off their improved drawings and show what they did to make it better.
