Released in 2011 and but is considered part of the 2011 Girl’s Guide. The Ambassador page has information on when all badges were released.

Can be earned as a single badge or as part of the Ambassador Outdoor Journey set. (Journeys retire in Oct 2026.)

What is this badge about?

Share one experience after activities exploring water, water art, how to protect water, and either explore a water issue or tour a water facility.

Our Summary* of requirements:

  1. Celebrate the presence of water in your life with one activity (visit water in natural state, try a new water skill, OR revisit a familiar water activity).
  2. Explore the artistic and cultural significance of water and create your own (read a book and write a review, read 5 poems and compose your own poem, visit a water-focused art and express your reaction artistically, OR capture the sounds of water and make a composition).
  3. Tackle a water issue (endangered marine life, or water as a hazard) OR tour a water facility (waste-treatment plant, desalination plane, or managed watershed)
  4. Explore humanity’s ingenuity in managing and protecting water with one activity (interview a water scientist, tour/research a dam, or present an idea visually for a water innovation).
  5. Share your insights and inspiring others (celebrate with younger scouts, advocate in your community, or create a tour of a local water place).
