What is this badge about?

Develop photography skills of composition, light, movement, and share a story through photos.

Our Summary* of requirements:

  1. Explore the stories that photography can tell (examine 20 photos, create a timeline with 10 photos, OR use sticky notes to sketch a comic story).
  2. Dive into composition with one activity (one scene at 5 intervals in a 24 hour period, one scene of 5 different weather stages, or one object with 5 unique vantage points).
  3. Use light creatively in one activity (shoot friend photos in five ways, photograph the same person from five perspectives, OR start with one person and add a person or object to the photo in a series of 5 photos).
  4. Explore movement in photography with one activity (capture 5 stages of a moving activity, take 5 different faces of one person with different expressions, OR capture 5 different objects in motion).
  5. Share your photographic story in one way (photo exhibit, digital slideshow, OR photo album/scrapbook).
