Step 1 – Find out what care different pets need
Learn what 3 different pets costs and how much space, food, and human interaction it needs.

Step 2 – Keep a pet comfy

Step 3 – Help a pet stay healthy and safe
Learn about 3 pets possible health issues and how you would keep it healthy OR 3 pets grooming and try grooming OR take a dog on an exercise walk for one week.

- Make a Dog or Cat Toy to donate to an Animal Shelter
- Exercise a Balloon Dog
- Pretend Vet Visit
- Complete Blue House School “Keep Pets Looking Good” worksheet
- Pick three pets, find out how often they have to be washed or brushed and any other special care tips, and practice one on a stuffed animal.
- Learn what Dog Groomers Do
- Research the foods/items your pet shouldn’t eat
- Learn 5 safe commands for a dog
Step 4 – Make a pet feel loved
Make a toy or make up a game and play with a pet OR learn how three different kinds of pets communicate their feelings.
RECOMMENDED: a
- Make a Dog or Cat Toy to donate to an Animal Shelter
- Make up a game to play with a pet
- Play Pet Charades – a happy cat often purrs, a dog that wants a walk might scratch at a door. Have friends or family guess which pet you are and what you’re feeling.
- Find out what different animals like to do to feel loved
Step 5 – Feed a pet
Feed your pet for two weeks OR feed someone’s pet for one week OR find out how much it costs to feed two different pets for one month.
