Step 1 – Find out about Cookies

Learn the flavors, costs, and which ones are vegan, gluten-free, etc.

RECOMMENDED: Cookie Charades – Youth play charades using cookie flavor cards and other words.

    Cookie Quiz Competition – Youth compete in teams to complete a cookie fact sheet by answering all questions first.

Step 2 – Decide how you will spend your cookie money

Brainstorm ideas and then vote on what the troop goal for spending cookie money will be.

RECOMMENDED: Quick Goal Idea Discussion – Youths explore ideas for using cookie money, vote on their favorites, and explore personal goals.

    Cookie Vision Board – Youth create a vision board to show troop goals for using cookie money.

Step 3 – Set a troop budget and package goal

Make something to track your sales progress to your goal, or use the online sales tracker.

RECOMMENDED: Sales Chart – Youth design a chart to track their cookie sales progress.

Step 4 – Build your team

Create a plan with role play/talk with cookie experts OR practice teamwork and apply what you learned to cookie business.

RECOMMENDED: Team Building Game – Youth play a team building game and connect what they learn to communication in their cookie business.

    Interview Older Scout – Youth learn from older scouts about cookie sales responsibilities and how to take charge of their cookie business.

    Practice Cookie Booth – Youths practice setting up a booth, handling money, and making change at the pretend cookie booth.

    Team Building Game – Youth play a team building game and connect what they learn to communication in their cookie business.

    Team Trading Cards – Youth design cookie team trading cards to show their strengths and skills.

Step 5 – Create your pitch to customers

Make a sales pitch and practice, create a video, or write it down.

RECOMMENDED: Pitch Pointers – Youths practice connecting with customers by creating and sharing their cookie pitch.

    Cookie Lanyard – Youth create a cookie lanyard or necklace to help them learn and remember cookie names and key facts with an option for writing a simple pitch for door-to-door sales.

    Pitch Pointers – Youths practice connecting with customers by creating and sharing their cookie pitch.

    Simple Video – Youths practice and record a video sales pitch about Girl Scout Cookies.
