What is this badge about?

Learn the tools of a craft, research users, and create a user-centered project.

Choose your own activities!

Our Summary* of requirements:

  1. Research (talk to a crafter, research, OR try one out) and pick out which craft (pottery, jewelry, textiles, OR baskets) to do.
  2. Learn what tinkering is and practice (make a new tool, upcycle a material, OR add a new part to a project you make).
  3. Learn what a user is and brainstorm user centered projects (interview users, reflect, OR research).
  4. Learn what Form, Fit, and Function are and create a user-centered project (something to entertain, simplify life, OR useful to a user).
  5. Reflect on a project you made and brainstorm a tinker (how to simplify if you made it again OR sketch a change for a user specific request/adding a new feature or function).
