Can be earned as a single badge or as part of the Brownie Outdoor Journey set. (Journeys retire in Oct 2026.)

Go on a nature walk, learn how to hike safely, and eat something to give you energy.

Our Summary* of requirements:
- Get some options and chose a hiking trail.
- Make trail signs OR note down things during a hike (observations or mark items on a map).
- Talk to an experienced hiker (adult, older scout, outdoor store employee) about gear you need.
- Make and take energy food (GORP, walking salad, nose-bag lunch).
- Do something fun on the hike (scavenger hunt, I spy, detective).
