Released in 2016 but is considered part of the 2011 Girl’s Guide. The Junior page has information on when all badges were released.
What is this badge about?
Explore a garden, design a garden, do a seed experiment, and learn and grow 6 plants.

Our Summary* of requirements:
- Visit (in-person OR virtual tour) a garden (outdoor, indoor, OR highly landscaped area).
- Design (dream garden cut and paste, sketch, OR make a mini Zen garden) a garden.
- Learn about six plants (6 that grow in your hardiness zone, 3 annuals vs 3 perennials, OR 2 seed growing, 2 bulb growing, and 2 root growing plants).
- Do a 12 seed experiment using an empty 12 egg carton (do half with 2 TBSP soil and half with 1 TBSP soil, use the same 2 TBSP soil but water half every day and half every other day, OR use the same 2 TBSP soil and water every day but cover half the seeds to shade them from sunlight).
- Grow a garden (outdoor, indoor, OR with a community garden) of at least 6 plants (six seed sprouts from step 4, six you researched in step 3, OR six new plants).
