Basic Meeting Plans are designed to have minimal supplies and still hit the GSUSA Requirements. Most meetings can be done in a 90 minute time frame.

Meeting Outline
Items Needed:
- Three priced activity options
- Paper and markers
- (Optional) Calculator or counting tools
- (Optional) Stickers or tokens for voting
- (Optional) Pictures of the activity options
- Cookie Entrepreneur Family Pin Worksheet (one per Youth)
- Troop goal number
- Pens, Pencils, or Markers
Poster Option Items Needed:
- Large poster paper or cardstock for each small group
- Paper with Troop number and cookie price information for each small group
- Markers, crayons, or colored pencils
- (Optional) Stickers or decorations
- (Optional) Pictures of cookies or troop activities
Card Option Items Needed:
- Small cardstock or index cards
- Markers, crayons, or colored pencils
- Troop number and cookie price information
- (Optional) Stickers or decorations
- (Optional) Lanyard to place card inside for easy reference when selling

Meeting Start
Always plan for 5-10 minutes to allow scouts to arrive and your troop’s opening routines.

Simple Calculated Cookie Goal – Youths calculate how many cookie boxes they need to sell to reach troop activity goals and vote on their favorite option.
Activity 2 – Step 2
(Requirement 2 Earned)
Time Expected*:
10 minutes
Entrepreneur Goal Tracker – Youths use the Cookie Entrepreneur Family Pin Worksheet to track their troop sales goal.
Activity 3 – Step 3
(Requirement 3 Earned)
Time Expected*:
25 minutes
OPTION A:
Sharing Goal Poster – Youths create posters for a cookie booth that show the troop goal, troop number, and cookie prices.
OPTION B:
Goal Sharing Sales Card – Youths make small cards to carry that explain their troop goal, troop number, and cookie prices. They can choose to role-play with them after they are made.
If you have extra time: Scouts can keep adding more decorations to the Goal Poster or practice using the Sales Card until it’s time to go home.

Always plan for 5-10 minutes for clean up and Closing Routines

General Notes
- The Basic Plans from The Badge Archive are designed to earn one official GSUSA badge per level per meeting to remain budget-friendly.
- Some badges require two meetings to complete. This allows scouts to fully enjoy the activities while keeping costs low by only needing one GSUSA badge for every two meetings.
- For troops that wish to give scouts a badge or patch for every meeting, a fun patch can be awarded during one of the two sessions. Scouts attending only one meeting can earn the fun patch, while those attending both will receive both the fun patch and the GSUSA badge.
