2011 Cadette – LiA Badge Placement

LiA badges were retired in August of 2025. Like all retired badges, they can still be earned and worn, but GSUSA no longer makes new badges.

LiA badges go where #25 is stated in the diagram below. The traditional journey LiA badges fit with the coordinating Journey Set and can be placed with them in the Journey areas. There are three total Traditional Journey LiA awards and a scout can earn up to 4 additional LiA awards by leading younger scouts through all three Think Like a… journeys and the Outdoor Journey.

C/S/A Badges

If you are using the same tan vest from Cadette level to Ambassador level, be aware that the Cadette badges officially go below the Senior and Ambassador badges. Place the Cadette badges on the bottom hem line of the vest and work upwards as you age through the levels. The Ambassador level badges will be on the top row.

Helpful Resource: GS Leader Resources has worked out the best way to maximize badge placement on uniform vests.

See the River Valleys Council Uniform page for official images.
