Released in 2021 but is considered part of the 2011 Girl’s Guide. The Brownie page has information on when all badges were released.
What is this badge about?
Measure temperature and nature objects, make a line plot, and then design a garden space.

Our Summary* of requirements:
- Do a fun Temperature science experiment (measure temp with cricket chirps, state of water (gas, liquid, and solid), or a season calendar)
- Measure 3 leaves with your choice of measurement unit (ruler, finger/toe, or nature object like a rock, petal, or stick)
- Make a Line Plot (using graph paper, sticks and the ground, or people) about the data of 3 leaves you measured in Step 2.
- Decide what to plant (edible garden, forest, herbs, or flowers) and get a list of seeds you can use and how much space they need to grow
- Using the info from Step 4, pick your garden location (window sill, containers, or outdoors) and then measure the area and draw quadrants to know where to plant seeds so they have enough space.
