2011 – Brownie Automotive Design – At Home Overview

The Badge Archive’s At Home Overview gives one way for an independent scout to earn the badge on their own without a troop.

Step 1 – Learn about how different types of vehicles are used for different tasks.

Follow How People Move activity.

Step 2 – Learn what design features are.

Follow Vehicle Parts activity.

Step 3 – Learn how to get feedback from future customers.

Find a partner to ask questions for the Customer Guided Design activity.

Step 4 – Make a sketch of the vehicle you would want to make.

Draw a design for a Paper Vehicle Design.

Step 5 – Make a model of the vehicle you sketched using anything (clay, playdough, tinfoil, paper, LEGOs, etc.)

Cut out your Paper Vehicle Design and assemble it with glue or tape to make a 3D model.
