Skill Based badges serve as interest-led explorations designed to provide awareness of a new topic, basic competency in a task, and curiosity for future learning. They act as the first steps toward a skill, offering enough hands-on experience to build foundational knowledge and situational awareness. Each badge is a “taste” of a specific subject, providing the vocabulary and basic experiences needed for a scout to decide if they wish to pursue the topic independently.
Skill Based badges should go where #12 is stated in the diagram below.

C/S/A Badges
If you are using the same tan vest from Cadette level to Ambassador level, be aware that the Cadette badges officially go below the Senior and Ambassador badges. Place the Cadette badges on the bottom hem line of the vest and work upwards as you age through the levels. The Ambassador level badges will be on the top row.
