Our Summary* of requirements:
- Hear a Story Award – Read a story and have scouts point out who the main character is, what the problem was, and what actions the main character took to make the problem better.
- Change a Story Award – Role play or discuss ways to make problems better for various common problems they might see in life (like a lone kid on the side of the playground, or wanting a pet when parents say no).
- Tell a Story Award – Listen to some community stories, identify the problems, and brainstorm how Brownie scouts could help.
- Better World for Girls! Award – Do a TAP (usually picking one of the community story brainstorm ideas).

Four steps are needed to complete this badge:
- Hear a Story Award – Brownies see that stories hold clues for how to better the world
- Change a Story Award – Brownies realize they have the power to change things for the better for girls in the world
- Tell a Story Award – Brownies have the confidence and knowledge to educate and inspire others
- Better World for Girls! Award – Brownies understand they belong to a large and far-reaching world of girls
