  • Pencils or pens
  • (Optional) Computers, smartphones, or tablets for digital journaling
  • (Optional) Supplies or setup for the physical activity previously voted on by scouts

    • Scouts briefly write down how they feel at the start.
    • Include emotions, energy level, or anything they notice physically (e.g., tired, tense, alert).
  2. Complete a physical activity that boosts energy. (Estimated Time: 20–25 min)
    • Scouts do the group’s chosen activity that involves vigorous movement.
    • This can include dancing, hiking, circuits, sports, or any active choice.
    • Movement should be continuous and adjusted to comfort level.
  3. Reflect on mood after movement. (Estimated Time: 5–7 min)
    • Scouts journal a second time.
    • Compare how they feel now versus earlier.
    • Note any shifts in mood, energy, or thoughts.
  4. (Optional) Share and explore next steps. (Estimated Time: 2–3 min)
    • Scouts may write down one movement activity they’d like to try on their own later.
    • Leaders may ask volunteers to share what helped them feel better or energized.
